Tom Wiseman is a civil litigation attorney whose practice focuses on defending public and private entities in all aspects of state and federal employment law, as well as various tort and business litigation matters in both state and federal courts throughout Southern California. Tom has extensive litigation experience in and out of the courtroom having written and argued various winning motions and oppositions through all phases of litigation, as well as having second-chaired a jury trial in his first year of practice.
Tom graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, ranking 10th in his class while also serving as Senior Editor on law review and Teaching Assistant in Tort Law. During law school, Tom was awarded CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Employment Law and Tort Law – earning the highest grade among his peers in both courses. He was also a member of his school’s Intellectual Property Fellowship Program, and worked on various employment, tort, business and intellectual property matters both in-house and with firms, while also serving as Research Assistant to employment law expert, Professor Susan Bisom-Rapp. In his final semester, Tom served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Timothy B. Taylor, Supervising Judge of the Civil Division of the San Diego Superior Court, where he drafted over 30 published rulings on complex pre-trial motions covering all phases and areas of litigation.
Tom has a genuine passion for civil litigation, which he devotes tirelessly to obtaining the best results for his clients. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, surfing, and enjoying the outdoors.
